Ending with astounding success

Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, the biggest celebrity dance show, concluded recently amidst much fanfare and glory. The journey, which started in December, came to an end and in the process, made a dancer out of everyone who participated. This holds true especially for Meiyang Chang, the winner of the current season who grew as a dancer as the show progressed. The glitzy show, judged by eminent judges like Madhuri Dixit, Malaika Arora Khan and Remo D’Souza, always stayed on top of the mind of the viewers with overwhelming participation from them in form of votes and mails. They lived along with the judges and contestants, sharing their joys, sorrows, anguish and pain week after week as they took on the rollercoaster ride.

Speaking on the occasion, actress and judge Madhuri Dixit said, “It was a difficult task for all of us to come to a decision and pick up a winner because all the past weeks of staying together on the show has made us one big family and you do not compete with family. We wish Meiyang Chang all the luck for his future endeavours and request him to keep his new found skill alive.”

Commenting on his win, Meiyang Chang expressed, “Jhalak was the best journey to happen to me. When I started shooting for the show, I had only one notion — to give my best and master the art of dancing from the best of the choreographers and dancers — the three judges. I feel indebted to my choreographer Marischa Fernandes, the esteemed judges and the audience, who believed in me and
helped me reach where I am today.”

Amazing creatures

Nigel Marvin is on the hunt for the world’s largest jaguars in South America in Jaguar Adventure.

Travelling deep into the heart of the Pantanal, the largest waterland in the world and the size of Britain, Nigel comes face to face with these magnificent cats and chases down scientists who are rushing to save them on Brazil’s burgeoning cattle ranches.

Nigel’s time is short — he’s just got four weeks to find his jaguars and as many of the amazing weird swamp creatures that he can.

Travelling across time

WB presents The Time Machine on March 10 at 9 pm.

The movie stars Guy Pearce, Samantha Mumba, Orlando Jones, Mark Addy and Jeremy Irons.

In this updated adaptation of H G Wells’ classic novel, a scientist in the Victorian England of the 1880s builds a vehicle to transport him through time.

He travels first to 1917 and the horror of World War I. Next, he sets his destination for 1940 and the start of World War II.

From there he travels to a future London when he barely escapes nuclear holocaust.
Finally, he sets his destination for the year 802, 701 C E, when he meets an innocent race of people living in an idyllic land — but this future may be the most dangerous of all his journeys in The Time Machine.
