The petition comes close on the heels of several private complaints being lodged against Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda for their alleged involvement in land scams.
Kiran Kumar, a resident of Bangalore, lodged a complaint against Singh and four others with the 23rd Additional Civil and Sessions Court Judge C B Hipparagi.The court on March 14 will decided whether to take cognisance of it or not.
The court has taken cognisance of private complaints filed against Yeddyurappa and his family members and that against Gowda and has begun the process of recording the statements by the complainants.
