Sand, machine worth RS` 1.07 cr seized in raids

The team raided illegal sand mining site at Uruguthi in Bembaloor of Shanivarasanthe and seized 2,500 metric tonne sand. The AC directed DySP Jayaprakash to file criminal case against Bhagawan. He directed to file case against Naniah, Manju and Chandrashekar for illegal encroaching government to store sand. The DC had directed all those who have taken contract for sand mining in Shanivarasanthe and Kodlipete hobli should suspend their mining works by March 7. In fact, the public had submitted a complaint to the public on the illegal sand mining in the region. To allow the movement of sand, a road was laid in the region without permission. The AC directed the revenue officials to issue a notice to the land owner in this regard.
