Ice Cafe’s Aahar Villa, situated in Kumaraswamy Layout, is thronged by people for its Masala Dosa, Papdi Chaat, Paneer Hariyali Tikka and Schezwan Noodles alike.
This small place, specialising in South Indian, North Indian, Chinese, tandoori, ice creams and fresh fruit juices has something for everyone.

A small haven, it is the perfect pit stop for a foodie who can start his day with the conventional South Bangalore Vada Masala Dosa Combo and end his morning love affair with food with a piping hot cup of filter coffee.

For the afternoon, the Mid Day Meals make for a wholesome meal if one is looking at budget eating.

However, one can also order a customised meal as the restaurant offers a large variety in terms of curries and Chinese delicacies. The Veg Kolhapuri is truly the one to take food-lovers on a gastronomical ride. Couple that with a butter naan and this perfect combination will leave you desirous of more.  The lingering aftertaste immediately calls for something sweet.

In the department of desserts too, Aahar Villa does not disappoint — a simple butterscotch scoop to calm down the aftertaste of the rich spices or an elaborate Hot Chocolate Fudge for those who have a sweet tooth, Aahar Villa has it all.
Come evening, the craving for finger food requires immediate solace.

Aahar Villa provides ample variety for paneer-lovers and the Paneer Chilli is a must-have. Their other speciality is authentic Delhi Chaat.

The Dahi Papdi Chaat is an astounding success with people coming from even far-off places to savour it.

The place also provides fresh fruit juices and coolers like ice tea which are perfect for the summer.

Antara Bharathi, a BBM students who is a regular says, “This place is very student-friendly compared to other places in and around this locality. The quality of food is really good and it is very clean. I would strongly recommend the Paneer Butter Masala. I just love it here.”

Rathnavelu, the owner of Aahar Villa says, “We have another branch in Padmanabhanagar, which is smaller than this place. When we started Ice Cafe around three years ago, we mainly had students as our clientele. We recently expanded the place to put a few more chairs and decided to call it Ice Cafes Aahar Villa. It has a more elaborate menu and now we get students and families. We also undertake catering services for a maximum of 150-200 people.”

Ice Cafe’s Aahar Villa is one of the few places in Bangalore where a self-service joint has a seating arrangement.

Parking, a major concern for most small hotels, is also not an issue here as there is a huge parking place next to the hotel. They also provide home delivery upto a radius of three kilometres. For details, call 32963232 or 9343123232.
