'CM to end woes of cane growers soon'

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, he said the CM has promised to direct the sugar factories to crush the cane. The factories would also be directed to pay the arrears if any in a week. Sugar Minister Ravindranath would convene a meeting of the officials, cane growers and the owners of the sugar factory to sort out the crucial issues and reach a consensus. The insurance cover for sugar cane and compensation for the crop loss would also be discussed, he said.
