Kingfisher,Finnair pact to link Indian cities with Asia,Europe

Last Updated 16 March 2011, 09:23 IST

A tie-up between the Nordic carrier and domestic Kingfisher Airlines has made this possible.
As per the co-operation between the two carriers, Kingfisher flights from Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Jaipur and Ahmedabad will connect fliers to Finnair's European and Asian daily network from Delhi Terminal 3.

"Fliers from seven Indian cities can benefit from this partnership as this will give them a gateway to 60 European and 11 Asian destinations.

The connectivity will be hassle-free as Finnair fliers will need one ticket for the entire journey to its European or Asian destination," said Finnair Director (Indian Sub-Continent) Kari Stolbow.

Also, Kingfisher's 'King Club' card holders can collect and redeem points by flying across the Finnair network from March 11.

"We expect this partnership to give a good new boost to our presence here in the Indian
market," Stolbow added.

At present, Finnair operates daily direct flights from New Delhi to Helsinki.
