In fact, the school has a fountain, park, kindergarten with swing and sliding for the children to play.

To supplement the studies of the students, a park with the symbols of mathematics have been laid in the school premises with the help of SKDRDP at a cost of Rs 35,000. SDMC President Shivarama Kevala constructed an arch to enter the park at the cost of Rs 15,000. Later, SDMC member Nemichandra Mulugadu had laid a fountain. Looking at the development activities in the school, the villagers donated money for the construction of kindergarten in the premises with swings and sliding to play.

The school has drinking water facility, toilets, playground, flag post, kitchen for mid-day meals. The school has 1.28 acre land. Of which there are 30 coconut trees. In fact, the parents provide the needed fertilisers for the coconut trees. Vegetables like sweet potato, ash gourd and others are grown in the school premises which are used for the mid-day meals. After using the coconut for mid-day meals, the remaining coconuts are sold by the school authorities. Moreover, there are cashew trees in the school premises.

The school gets atleast 50 kgs of cashewnuts every year.

The school was adjudged as the best school in 2003. “MLA S Angara has assured to construct a compound wall to the school. In fact, the school is in need of a computer and Ranga Mandira. We have raised a sum of Rs 50,000. If we get assistance from the government, then it will be ready soon,” said SDMC President Shivaram Madappady.

The Madappady Lower Primary School was started way back in 1957. However, owing to the shortage of students the school was merged with the Madappady Higher Primary School. Later in 1972, with the help of the locals, the school was once again started. The school has single teacher Belliappa Gowda to teach the students.

However, under the direction of BEO, DEd passed students have also been appointed in the school. As many as 29 students are pursuing their studies in the school.
