Medda Soma (35), a native of Malavalli, Mandya, and resident of Rajarajeshwarinagar, was recently released from jail. He accosted the woman and attempted to rob her around 10.30 pm.
On hearing the woman’s cry for help, some passersby thrashed the rowdy and rescued the woman. The injured rowdy was rushed to the Victoria Hospital.
