'Pension scheme to 26,000 members of Self Help Groups'

He was speaking after inaugurating the installation programme of the new office-bearers of Menasooru and Lingapura Pragati Bandhu Swasahaya Sangha in Mahaveer Bhavan on Saturday. “The members of self groups who are between the age group of 18-60 will be benefitted by the pension scheme. A sum of Rs 65 crore loan has been lent under Micro Finance programme. More than 4,000 members are informed and as many as 12,000 members have been provided with health insurance in the region. We have provided benches and desks to 5,400 schools in nine districts,” he said.

Meanwhile, he informed that establishing milk dairy in the taluk would promote self employment among the people. The women and members of self help groups must join their hands with the MLA in the effort to bring the dairy in the taluk, he urged.

He informed that those members of self help groups who are doing well in the group activities will be given loan of Rs 1.20 lakh to buy autorickshaws.
