Ali wins kesarugadde ota contest in Aldur

The competitions were held at the paddy field, near Biranjihole, belonging to one C Suresh. Neither thick mud nor heavy downpour were constraint to the enthusiasm of the participants.

When hundreds of youth and boys were running on the mud tracks, thousands of spectators gathered for he event were found encouraging them with thunderous applause. It took over two hours to complete the race competition.

In the meantime, a total of 8 teams took part in the tug-of-war competition. Chikmagalur JJC team led by Kempanahalli Eshwar won the first place. The team comprised of Ashwath, Lohith, Anand, Manjunath and Sathish.

Aldur Jagajatti team led by Donagudige Bhavith was the runner up. It included Arun, Anil, Sandhyan, Kavish and Bharath.

In boys’ section of the ‘kesarugadde ota,’ Gowtam, Kaushik and Harish won the first three places. There were 62 participants. In one more category of junior boys, B R Spandan, Vinay and Shivaraj won the first three prizes.

Mohammed Ali who won the first place in the senior’s section, was given a trophy and a cash of Rs 2,400. Ravi and Anith were second and third respectively.
