Reprising the famous look

Amitabh will be seen grooving to a peppy number called O Re Sawariya in the celebrated white kurta and pink pagadi which he once donned in the film Namak Halaal.
Says director Sujoy Ghosh, “We had no intentions of repeating his look from Namak Halaal. It was purely a coincidence but it definitely shows how the actor has impacted our minds over the years through his cult performances.”
Talking of the song, Sujoy adds, “O Re Sawariya is a fun-filled number and Mr Bachchan has added an extra charm to it with his unique style and unbeatable energy. We had a great time filming this song and I am sure audiences will love it too.”
The song is picturised on Big B, Riteish Deshmukh and Jacqueline Fernandes and choreographed by Bosco Ceaser and Saroj Khan. The soundtrack is by Vishal and Shekhar.

No hurry for marriage

Night at the Museum star Amy Adams will turn 35 in August, but despite being engaged, she is in no rush to walk down the aisle with fiance and fellow actor Darren Le Gallo. “We haven’t even started with the date,” Amy told a popular magazine’s August 2009 issue. “I’ve been really busy, and I feel like a horrible fiancee that I haven’t gotten swept up in the whole idea of a wedding. But I haven’t.”
Amy said Darren, with whom she co-starred with in 2006’s Pennies, is the one in their relationship most eager to say ‘I do’. “I think he was patient for the first nine months, but now that we have been engaged for a year, he’s sort of, ‘This is going to happen, right?’” she explained. “He understands I’m busy, but he’s ready. He’s much more ready for kids and stuff than I am.”
The actress told the magazine it took her a while to find the right one. And looking back on her younger days, Amy said she wishes she could have spent them differently — instead of pursuing the wrong type of men. “When I look at my 20s, or any period in my life, I think about how much time I’ve wasted trying to find the right man. It’s like, if I could go back and do it again, I would have taken guitar lessons or something. I would have put my energy into something that paid off in the end, instead of trying to improve myself for men,” she said. “Oh, the time and the energy, trying to impress somebody who was actually a big jerk, you know? But the truth is, once you have a great man in your life, it allows you (at least for me) to look at yourself and grow as an individual,” she continued.
One thing she wouldn’t have changed from her earlier days? Adopting her trademark red hair colour. “It just suits my personality better,” she said. “My dad’s got red hair; all of his family has red hair. I just didn’t get the gene, but I got everything else — the skin colouring, the intolerance to the sun and the temper.”

Why did Gauhar go missing?

After Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, everyone has been wondering where Gauhar Khan has disappeared. But little do people know that during the shooting of Jhalak, Gauhar got a call from Yashraj and she was asked to come for an audition.
She passed the audition and has bagged a role in their next project, which has been titled Rocket Singh — Salesman Of The Year.
The movie is a multi-starrer and also stars Ranbir Kapoor. Gauhar has been shooting continuously for the movie ever since Jhalak got over. That is why she has disappeared.
The girl does not let anything come in the way of her shoot. Recently Gauhar was diagnosed with an eye infection. Though the doctor asked her to rest, she didn’t take a break and went ahead with the shoot.
However, she did take precaution by using eye drops and dark glasses.

A battle of beverages

A central theme of the film Love Aaj Kal revolves around black tea and black coffee, and this started affecting the crew of the film during shoot as well. While it is popularly known that the director Imtiaz Ali is very fond of black tea and drinks a lot of black Darjeeling tea every day, the other crew members developed an increasing curiosity towards this beverage. Even the producer and other crew members switched to drinking black Darjeeling tea during the course of the film.
However, Deepika Padukone drank black coffee for the first time during the shoot, just like her character Meera who is very fond of the same. So in the end, it was like a war on the sets with Saif Ali Khan and Deepika drinking coffee on one side, and producer Dinesh Vijan and Imitiaz drinking tea on the other.
