Tremors rock Chinese provinces close to Myanmar border

Buildings shook for over a minute, reported some villagers in the Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan, official Xinhua news agency reported.
In Nanning City, capital of Guangxi, many residents evacuated buildings after they felt the tremors.

Authorities of Yunnan and Guangxi are ascertaining losses and possible casualties from the quake.

The quake's damage in China remains unknown and no casualty has been reported so far.
The earthquake measuring 7.2 on the Richter scale jolted Myanmar at 9:55 pm (Beijing Time) yesterday, according to the China Earthquake Network Centre.

The epicenter, with a depth of 20 km, was monitored at 20.8 degrees north latitude and 99.8 degrees east longitude, the centre said in a statement.
