The petitioner S Vasudeva, a City-based advocate and party in person had alleged that the amendment to hike pension from Rs 3,000 to Rs 5,000 under the Karnataka Legislature Salary, Pension and Allowance Act 2005, was unconstitutional.
The Division Bench comprising Chief Justice J S Khehar and Justice A S Bopanna disposed of the PIL relying on the recent order passed by it while dismissing a petition.
The court had ruled that the facilities provided to the members of the State Assembly are met out of the state fund and there cannot be any objection to the same.
