Speaking to Deccan Herald, he said College Principal Rajshekhar Hebbar had submitted a complaint to the police alleging Shivshankar of receiving bribe while distributing the bills of the Government College.
The Udupi police, who accepted the complaint, conducted the ride while Shivshankar was receiving bribe of Rs 16,000 from the complainant on March 24.
He was arrested by the police immediately. However, the court has ordered to release him on bail.
