Yeddyurappa said the immediate task was to ensure victory of BJP candidates in the bypolls to three Assembly constituencies. He said he will be campaigning along with State BJP president K S Eshwarappa, from March 28.

Referring to a question on “troublemakers” in the party, Yeddyurappa said, “We will not be on guard in the absence of troublemakers.”

Speaking to reporters in Haveri, Eshwarappa said he was unaware of any “troublemakers” in BJP.

Responding to the reported statement of Yeddyurappa on managing “troublemakers” in the party, Eshwarappa said he was unable to make out the context in which the chief minister said so.

“Since he has raised the issue, let him spell out the names,” he said.
