Hot: Rahul KhannaSporting a macho look

Rahul Khanna is busy building an enviable body to share screen space with two of the hottest men in the industry in ‘Housefull 2’.

If Sajid Nadiadwala’s previous offering ‘Housefull’ had three sensational looking
actresses walking out of the waters in bikinis — this time around the team is ready to surprise audiences with the latest star to join the six pack bandwagon.

Starring alongside Akshay Kumar and John Abraham who have bodies to die for, Rahul Khanna is busy sweating it out to build an impressive six pack abdomen.

The talented Rahul Khanna, who has previously in his career essayed serious characters, will shed all inhibitions in ‘Housefull 2’ and will have his female fans drooling over his new look .

Sources reveal the star is undergoing rigorous training to build an impressive six pack abdomen for the film.

Confirms director Sajid Khan, “Rahul Khanna is an extremely handsome and talented boy. He just hasn’t got the right break or role in a commercial film. ‘Housefull 2’ will show the world that he has what it takes to be a star — including six pack abs.”

Professional: Murli SharmaShooting despite injury

The producers of Telugu film Chattam were in for a shock to see Bollywood meanie Murli Sharma land up in Hyderabad with a bandaged foot as they had planned an extensive action sequence. But then the professional that he is, he shot for five days without complaining. “I simply love my work,” says the talented actor who might have half a dozen releases coming up. But he is particularly excited about Chattam, with superstar
Jagapati Babu, which hit theatres recently.

For a change, he plays a good guy in this one, but then that’s not the only reason for his excitement. He has also dubbed for his own character considering its just his third Telugu film.

He is pulled off quite a feat must say as usually, actors from Bollywood have their voice dubbed from local dub artistes. About the film, we hear it deals with 26/11 terrorist attacks and the dreaded Kasab. “Every Indian, who is still burning from within since 26/11, will feel little better after watching this film,” says Murli who is eager to join Rohit Shetty for Singham in Goa. “I am dying to get there,” he quips.

Talented: Manjari FadnisImpressive young actress

Actress Manjari Fadnis got a dream debut opposite Imraan Khan in the Aamir Khan produced Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, but we hear that her connection with Aamir doesn’t end there. The story goes that Aamir was so impressed with her short but impactful role that he recommended her to good friend Satyajit Bhatkal (Lagaan production team member) for his debut film, Disney’s Zokkomon.

Satyajit Bhatkal, who is the author of ‘Spirit of Lagaan’ and National Award winning director of short film Chale Chalo produced by Aamir Khan, was hunting for a female lead for his Bollywood debut, when Aamir happened to tell him about Manjari! The pretty actress plays the lead in Satyajit’s debut action adventure film with Darsheel Safary and Anupam Kher.

Also what is uncanny is that Manjari’s character in Zokkomon, where she plays a mentor and guide to an orphaned Darsheel and helps him in his journey, is very similar to Aamir’s role in Taare Zameen Par. With a recommendation from Aamir Khan himself and a good buzz generating around Zokkomon’s trailers on channels, looks like Manjari Fadnis is definitely an actress to watch out for.

Keeping everything under wraps

Ekta Kapoor is treading with caution when it comes to Balaji’s ‘Ragini MMS’ based on a true story that promises to leave audiences shell-shocked.

Amidst frequent news breaks, more details on Ekta Kapoor’s new pet controversial project are emerging on the scene though the production house is being extremely tight-lipped.

The latest news reveals that pandits have advised the television baroness to keep the identity of the real Ragini under wraps till a more auspicious date. Not too long ago, the cast and crew of ‘Ragini MMS’ were left shaken after freak incidents took place on the sets so much so that Ekta Kapoor organised a havan to ward off evil.

Says a source, “Ekta Kapoor, who is known to be superstitious, consulted pandits about the film and they have advised her to keep the identity of the real Ragini, on whom the story is based, under wraps and wait for a more auspicious date or it would prove unlucky for the film.”

Ekta also wishes to be tight-lipped about the girl in question since she is still reeling under the mental trauma of the MMS scandal.

‘Ragini MMS’ promises commercial recreation of a real-life incident — it takes the real episode forward by incorporating the paranormal.

The film will be made in a manner that is as close to this terrifying story without fictionalising it.

Striking one more time

If you have been missing Madhavan lately on your TV sets then here is some good news for you.

After delivering a hit 'Tanu Weds Manu', the actor is ready to take the small screen once again.

The heart-throb will be back on TV hosting ‘WagonR Think Big Challenge-II’.

Madhavan has been associated with the show for quite sometime and had charmed the audience and contestants in 2009 as well.

This season too, the star will sweep the audience with his hosting skills.

The actor feels proud to be associated with the show as it’s about nurturing talent for self growth and the growth of the economy.

“The show is a platform for those who have the passion to be an enterpriser. It is both a
platform for learning and financial support,” said the star.

Going lengths to conserve water

After playing an obnoxious drunkard jat in his last release, Yamla, Pagla, Deewana, Mukul Dev is now all set to play a rural Kutchi in his next film titled Jal, directed by Girish Malik.

The movie revolves around the man versus nature theory. It talks about how people in the areas of Kutch go to different lengths to conserve water. Mukul who drank like a fish in YPD, is going to play the baddie of sorts, who after finding water in the desert will go against everyone to preserve it.

Mukul says, “It is a fresh approach and the film is being shot in the beautiful locales of Kutch. It is good that I did not have to really change my looks from my last film as the rural kutchis are known for their longish hair and beards. A lot of camel chases are being shot and I regret not having taken the camel rides on Juhu beach while they were still legal,” he laughs.
