Attempts to unseat KGF municipal president?

The no-confidence motion requires the support of 25 members, and according to reliable sources, all the members are now camping at a resort in Bangalore.

None of the political parties were able to secure a clear majority in the last elections.
There are eight Congress members, seven each of  JD(S) and Republican Party of India, four of  BJP, one of  CPI(M) and seven independents in the 35-member City Municipal
Council.

Out of these, seven independents, BJP and JD(S) members have elected M Bhaktavatsalam of JD(S) and Sangeetha Kumari of BJP as president and vice-president, respectively, in March 2008.

The councillors are said to be contemplating no confidence motion as there has been no progress in development works over the past 15 months in the City
