ZP member demands dismissal of State govt

He was addressing protest rally organised by the Taluk Youth Congress Committee, here on Monday, he condemned the State government’s anti-peoples policy and alleged the involvement  of legislator S N Krishnaiaiah Setty.

People are facing problems with any development works in the taluk. It is the ill-fate of the taluk to have a legislator who is less interested in development of taluk and is involved in malpractice, he criticised.

He accused legislator S N Krishniaiah Setty of having selling the land near Shidlaghatta at exorbitant price to the housing board, which he had purchased from the farmers at lowest price and demanded the Chief Minister Yeddyurappa to drop Setty from the chairman post of the housing board.

He also demanded Setty to resign as MLA and warned of intensifying the struggle if their demands are not met.

KPCC Backwardclass State Convener T M Ashok Kumar and District Youth Congress President Mohammed Akram sought legislator Setty’s resignation.

A memorandum was submitted to tahsildar V Raghavendra. State Youth Congress General Secretary Gopal, Sampath Kumar, R Satish, Gajendra, K Narayana, V Narayanamma, Vittiganahalli Venkatesh, Jonnappa, Chalapati, Siddhanahalli Nagaraj, Praveen Kumar and others took part in the rally.
