Bridge
The villagers had alleged that the bridge being constructed at a cost of ` 1.5 lakh was of substandard quality and the contractor had used broken RCC pipes to lay foundation for the same.
The Public Works Department had laid the pipes temporarily to ease out vehicular traffic on the Sakleshpur-Arehalli main road, where construction works of a bridge was taken up and the contractor had allegedly lifted the pipes without taking permission from the PWD, say the locals.
Complaint lodged
AEE has lodged a complaint in this regard. ZP CEO Anjan Kumar made a spot inspection of the bridge to take stock of the situation.
