Karantaka Tourism won the best tourism film and best tourism promotion publicity material awards. The Orange Country Resorts of Karnataka won the best responsible tourism project award for its Kabini project. Tourism Minsiter of Karnataka G Janaradan Reddy received the awards bagged by Karnataka Tourism.
Documentary film ‘Karnataka’ was adjudged the best tourism film for its depiction of tourism destinations in the State including world heritage sites at Hampi and Pattadakal, the architectural wonders of Hassan, Bidar, Badami etc. The award citation praised the way the film presented the forests and wildlife of Kabini.
