Jealous man kills boss

Dharmalingam, a building supervisor was allegedly killed by Shivu alias Shivkumar (30) after he had found that the former had proposed to Gowri, his companion.

The police said that Shivu, a construction labourer, was enraged after he came to know about Dharmalingam’s offer to Gowri, and planned to murder him.

He killed him in Konanakunte here in the early hours of Monday.
Both of them slept at the watchman’s sheds at two construction sites and Shivu attacked and killed Dharmalingam, who was in the neighbouring site, the police claimed.

They said Shivu has confessed to killing Dharmalingam. A case of murder had been registered.

Row leads to killing

A quarrel between two men in a bar saw one of them being murdered. Ravi Kiran and Lokesh, both residents of Sampangiram Nagar, reportedly had a fight at the Meenakshi Bar here, during which Lokesh allegedly killed Ravi Kiran.
Police have registered a case.

Six held for murder bid

The City Crime Branch (CCB) police have taken into custody Ganesh Bangera, Lokesh Kumar, Manish Raju Shetty, Yada Vasanth, Harish and Venu on charges of attempt to dacoity and conspiracy to murder a businessman.

The CCB police said the suspects who were associates of extortionists Ravi Poojary, Nikhil Shetty and Kali Yogeshwar, had planned to murder a businessman near Parappana Agrahara.

The police recovered Rs 3,410 in cash, weapons and two mobile phones from the them.
