Influence of TV, cinema; setback to theatre

He was speaking at the theatre festival organised by Mandya Ramesh’s ‘Rangavahini’ Institute at J H Patel auditorium, in Chamarajanagar on Sunday.

He said theatre is the base for all entertainment but it was facing threat due to influence of TV, cinema and others.  

Mandya Ramesh, a noted theatre artist, urged elected representatives to set up an auditorium in the city to promote theatre activities. Senior theatre personality K Venkataraju and other were present.
