It was heartening to see the old students, right from the first batch in 1997 to 2009, coming together. The main aim of the event was to increase the practical exposure of the students through a live interaction with the alumni who are doing well in various fields of management in India and abroad. The reunion provided a platform for the current batches and the faculty members to interact and discuss about the challenges in management education.

Parashuram, the co-ordinator of the event, stressed on the need of the alumni get-together. He felt at home and got excited after remembering his good old days in the campus. He spoke about the present activities of college and the recent achievements of the college in terms of diverse courses, outstanding results and placements. He requested the old students to guide the present batch in structuring their career on the right path.

Prashanth Sambargi and Nav Mohan of 1997 batch spoke about the value of alumni in the current curriculum of education. They shared their thoughts on various topics like long-term career planning, flow of Indian economy and balancing between personal life and work. They thanked Prof M R Doreswamy, the founder chairman of the institution, for all the support given to them during their tenure.  An interaction was held between the alumni and the students. The former students stressed upon the vital role of the institution in moulding the career of a student. They shared their work experiences and gave some tips on how to achieve success in the competitive world. The interaction resulted in sharing reminiscent moments and adding more members to the network. The old students appreciated the college for conducting such an exemplary event.

The event concluded with colourful performances by the students. ‘Trance’, an in-house dance team, gave a scintillating performance. ‘PES Pistols’, the ‘Mad Act’ team had the audience in splits with their rib-cracking mockery of advertisements and products. Even some members of the alumni set the stage on fire with their singing and mono-acting skills. The meet ended with an elaborate, sumptuous and delicious dinner.
