FIR against DIG wife filed in timber case

Officers of the Forest Department have filed an FIR of storing timber illegally against Shubha, wife of Murugan, DIG (CID).

The FIR listing offences under Section 62 of the Forest Act (seizure of illegal timber), 144 (illegal transport of timber) and 165 (fine) was filed on Friday.

A copy of the FIR was delivered to the Junior Munsiff Magistrate court in the evening, according to the Mobile Vigilance Squad of the Department.
