Based on reality

DRAMA: A scene from ‘Ragini MMS’.After Love, Sex Aurr Dhokha, Balaji and ALT Entertainment announced their interestingly titled next film — ‘Ragini MMS’.
The film is loosely based on the infamous MMS scandal that rocked the country and sure enough, with its bold and graphic visuals, will have audiences at the edge of their seats.
The film will release in both Hindi and Telugu versions for which shooting has already started.

The movie has taken on a novel way of filming for these versions.

Reveals a source, “A single scene is shot in Hindi followed by the same scene being shot in Telugu — it does get slightly hectic. However, the team is determined to keep it as authentic as possible.”

‘Ragini MMS’ is slated for release on May 13. After their last hit, Love Sex Aurr Dhokha, ALT Entertainment’s ‘Ragini MMS’ is another example of the production house’s ‘realistic’ style of film-making. In fact, the film will also contain bits and portions from the actual MMS clip to keep it as authentic and real as possible.

‘I want to be like Lady Gaga’

Hollywood superstar Will Smith’s singer daughter Willow Smith considers popdiva Lady Gaga her style icon and says that she wants to have an “explosive personality” like her idol. The ten-year-old singer is a huge fan of the ‘Born This Way’ hitmaker’s out-of-the-box fashion sense and wants to have the same look for herself.

“She is awesome. She has a very explosive personality. I would like to be like her,” said Willow. The ‘Whip My Hair’ hitmaker said she would love to arrive in an egg-shaped ‘vessel’ like Gaga. “Yeah, probably, so that I don’t have to smile to the cameras,” added Willow.

The kid star had recently toured with teen sensation Justin Bieber in the UK.
“It’s awesome because I get to see new places and new people and how the crowds react. Justin’s very funny. He plays basketball, like, right before the show, but I stopped because I was like, ‘somebody’s going to get hurt’. So he won after which he ran over and picked me up (sic),” said Willow.

Offering a slice of life

After playing an obnoxious drunkard Jat in his last release — Yamla, Pagla, Deewana — Mukul Dev is now all set to play a rural Kutchi in his next film titled Jal, directed by Girish Malik.

The movie revolves around man versus nature and is about how people in the areas of Kutch go to any length to conserve water.

Mukul, who drank like a fish in YPD, is going to play the baddie of sorts, who after finding water in the desert, goes against everyone to preserve it.

Mukul says, “It is a fresh approach and the film is being shot in the beautiful locales of Kutch. It is good that I do not have to really change my looks from my last film
as the rural Kutchis are known for their beard and long hair. A lot of camel chase scenes are being shot and I regret not having taken the camel rides on Juhu Beach while they were still legal,” he laughs.

Romantic at heart

Hollywood heart-throb Robert Pattinson says he believes in love at first sight. The 24-year-old actor, who is dating his ‘Twilight’ co-star Kristen Stewart, 20, feels that love at first sight does exist. “I think people can fall in love at first sight. I think pretty much all people who love each other, had some kind of thing at first sight,” said Pattinson.

“I mean, there has to be some kind of moment where you feel a different energy around someone. Generally, if you don’t notice someone ever, you are probably not going to fall in love with them,” added he.  The actor, who plays the role of a young zoo-keeper Jaden, in his upcoming film ‘Water For Elephants’, goes through the same in the film where he falls for the showgirl Marlena, played by Reese Witherspoon. The heart-throb also joked about a recurring problem with his lips while appearing for interviews. “If I keep my mouth closed for 20 seconds, my lips get stuck together,” said Pattinson.
