Dhupia stars with Keanu, Drew Barrymore in US TV series

In the show "Bollywood Hero", which spoofs the Mumbai based industry, Dhupia will play a demanding Bollywood star 'Lalima', who is more famous for the controversies surrounding her rather than her acting talent.

The show, which has been shot in Mumbai and Los Angeles will have cameo appearances by 'Speed' actor Keanu Reeves and 'Charlie's Angels' star Drew Barrymore.

"It's spoofy and comical. It also has elements like how talent does not always get priority in showbiz. We shot in and around Mumbai. Cameos by Keanu Reeves and Drew Barrymore were shot in Los Angeles," Dhupia told PTI in an interview.

The mini-series also stars American comedy actor Kris Kattan.

The show, which spoofs the Mumbai based industry, Dhupia will play a demanding Bollywood star 'Lalima', who is more famous for the controversies surrounding her rather than her acting talent.

"My character is overbearing, typical Bollywood heroine who is known more for controversies than her acting skills.

The story revolves around an American, who wants to come to India to become a Bollywood star. His dream is to work opposite 'Lalima'.

The three-part one-hour mini series will be aired on IFC, an independent film channel on August 6.

Neha said she will crossover to Hollywood only if she gets a good offer adding her hands were full in Bollywood.

Speaking on her films, the actress felt that 2008 was relatively a good year for her with release of films like 'Singh is Kinng', 'Dasvidaniya' and 'Maharathi'.

"Currently, I am shooting for five films- 'Raat Gayi Baat Gayi' with Rajat Kapur and Vinay Pathak, 'Action Replay' with Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai, 'De Dana Dan' with Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, 'Raftar' with Emraan Hashmi and 'Pappu cant dance Sala' with Vinay Pathak," she said.
