Raju (18), son of Rajendra of R T Nagar, and his family had come to attend a function organised by their relatives at Sri Rama Temple. Raju went for a swim in the river where he drowned. The divers are still searching for the body. The local police are camping at the spot.
Man robbed
Manjunath was robbed of Rs 7,000 and a cellphone by two unidentified motorcycle-borne men near Murugesh Palya early Sunday morning.
Manjunath was on his way home when the two robbers waylaid and assaulted him with a machete around 3.15 am.
