Held at The Oberoi, this exhibition was organised by ‘Interarts’, an Indore-based company dedicated to bringing the finest contemporary art for connoisseurs.

The Bangalore exhibition consisted of some exquisite artefacts and crockery items targeted at high-end customers.

Petite figurines, glass candle stands, sand-blasted glass art, crockery and porcelain utensils were some of the items for sale and on display. Apart from leading European brands like Silea, Waterford, Rosenthall, Wedgwood, Royal Doulton and Swaja, works of renowned artists like Amanda Brisbane, Richard Golding and Helen Millard were also showcased at the exhibition. Said Purnima Sethi, the main organiser of the event, “This is the fourth year that we are having this exhibition and we have a selection of products from Europe and the United Kingdom.”

Some of the art pieces, especially the sand-blasted ones by Amanda Brisbane, were quite striking.  Be it a butterfly resting on its tail or a rust-coloured violin, it was truly meant for die-hard fans of art.

“My husband and I are collectors ourselves and we have a big collection back home in England,” she noted. “So we wanted to open a market for European brands here in the City. We also take orders for a big range which is delivered in 45 days.”

The exhibition was a great hit with the ladies of the City, who seemed pretty impressed with the collection. “The exhibition has many nice items,” said Aruna, a businesswoman, who was planning to purchase a few of them.

“I really like the Wedgwood collection and want to pick up a few artefacts,” she said. The exhibition is a yearly affair and will take place again next year. For details, call +917312433636 or visit www.interarts.in
