Calls for more publicity for non-violence

Speaking at the Bhagwan Mahaveer Jayanthi celebrations at Shravanabelagola, he said peace, non-violence and respecting all religions should become their mantra.

Non-violence should be given more publicity. Inculcating it in the educational institutions would help in building a good society, he added.

The seer said Bhgwan Mahveera never gave importance to wordly things as they give temporary happiness. People get solace if they follow preachings of great persons.

Earlier, the idol of Bhagwan Mahaveera was taken out in the silver palanquin which passed through main roads. A number of seers and the devotees accompanied the procession.
