“We are currently in talks and have gone for public bidding,” SAP Indian Subcontinent Managing Director Ranjan Das told PTI .

Das, however, declined to give further details and the time-frame by which the acquisition will take place.

SAF is a Swiss forecasting and replenishment software developer in the field of retail and wholesale industries.

The company also launched SAP BusinessObject Explorer here. The new software will help them go beyond just being a Business Intelligence provider. It will also help organisations take decisions at the managerial level as well.
