4 killed in 3 mishaps in C'magalur

Mother and a son was killed when a mini lorry rammed at a bullock cart at Kurichikkanahalli in Sakharayapattana police station limits on Tuesday. According to police, the dead have been identified as Esha alias Vishwanath (30) and his mother Rathnamma (50). The duo had been to attend annual fair. As the mini lorry rammed at the bullock cart, the duo who were in the bullock cart fell on the road and the lorry ran over them.

The lorry driver without stopping the vehicle fled the spot. However, the villagers stopped the vehicle at Hulikere cross. However, the driver and the cleaner fled the spot.

Harshitha (7), Chandra (11) and Nikhil (6) who were in the bullock cart have sustained injuries and are recuperating in the hospital.  

In a separate incident, a person was killed in a collision between ambulance and a car at Bidarahalli.

The deceased is Prakash. Prakash was bound to Mangalore to admit his son Rohith for CET coaching. His wife Mamatha, friend Srikanath were also in the car. The three injured have been shifted to Mangalore.

In yet another mishap, a two-wheeler rider was killed when a lorry rammed at bike on Monday night at M G Road Kannikaparameshwari temple. The dead is Pradeep (20).
