Ramanavami fest

The ‘Sree Ramanavami National Music Festival’, organised by Sree Ramaseva Mandali at Fort High School Grounds, Chamarajpet will feature performances by Suchetan Rangaswamy and team on April 23 at 5.15 pm.

At 6.30 pm, Mysore Nagaraj, Mysore Manjunath (violin duet), Karaikudi R Mani and V Suresh will perform.

On April 24, 9 am, ‘S V Narayanaswami Rao South Zone Classical Music Competitions’ will be held. At 5.15 pm, Amrutha Shankaranarayanan and party and at 6.30 pm, T V Shankaranarayanan, T K V Ramanujacharayalu, Harikumar B and Amruth N will perform.

‘Heegadre Hege?’

Kriyative Theatre is presenting the play Heegadre Hege? at Ranga Shankara on April 24, 3.30 pm and 7.30 pm.

‘Bond to Dance’

As part of Ashish Mohan Khokar’s Dance DISCourse, ‘Bond To Dance’, an evening dedicated to dancing couples, will be held on April 23, 6.30 pm at Alliance Française.
The City’s dancing duos will perform live, turning relationship into artistry, on the occasion of the release of the latest issue of ‘The Dance Annual of India 2010-11’.
The evening will also feature a panel discussion.

Solo performances

Koothu-P-Pattarai’s Jannal and Seethai Mark Seeyakkaai Thool, two short solo performances in Tamil based on the short stories by Sundara Ramasamy, will be held on April 23, 5 pm.

Directed by N Muthuswamy, this will be staged at Rafiki workspace, Chamundeshwari Studios, 48/3 Miller’s Tank Bund Road.

‘Yours... Forever’

Lions Clubs International, District 324D6; Lions Club of Bangalore Sundarnagar and Sundarnagar Lions Service Trust is organising ‘Yours... Forever’, a musical evening of Hindi film hits at Chowdiah Hall on April 23, 5 pm. The singers are Anil Bajpai, Vinod Seshadri, Joseph, Sampada Goswami, Neelima Ghokale.

‘Rabindra Sandhya’

The Bengalee Association of Bangalore is organising Rabindra Sandhya by Rabindra Sangeet exponents Manoj Murali and Manisha Murali Nair on April 23, 7.30 pm at Gurunanak Bhavan, Queen’s Road. This programme is being held to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore.

Vocal duet

Sri Maha Ganapathi Sang­eetha Sabha is holding a vocal duet by Vijaya Iyer, Geetha Iyer and team on April 24, from 6 pm to 8.30 pm. The Sabha is located at 56A, Sri Lakshminarasimha Krupa, R R Temple Road, K R Puram.

‘Cradle of Filth’

‘Cradle of Filth’, an English extreme metal band, will be performing at the Pal­ace Grounds on April 23, 4 pm.

Classical tunes

Experience the many faces of love with songs from a German, French, Italian and English repertoire.

Rahul Bharadwaj, baritone, trained at Eastern Michigan University, USA and Chris Williams, composer and classical pianist, will perform on April 23, 8 pm and April 24, 6.30 pm, at Jagriti, Whitefield.
