The  superstar who had till now maintained silence about his involvement in the project, will be playing a full fledged role along with Smita Patil's son Pratiek Babbar, who had made an impressed debut in Aamir Khan's production 'Jaane Tu Yaa Jaane Naa'.
"...the cat is finally out of the bag. I am playing one of the leads in Kiran's film Dhobi Ghaat. The reason we kept this under wraps is that she didn't want to attract much attention towards her film. She wanted to make this film on real locations with a tiny crew, very guerilla style." the actor wrote in his blog.

Known as 'Mr Perfectionist' in Bollywood, the actor is delighted to have dodged the media for once.
"We had to do it very quietly. And for once we managed to keep a secret from the media, at least until we finished the shoot," Aamir said.
Aamir's last release was blockbuster revenge drama 'Ghajini'. The actor is also working on 'Munnabhai' director Raj Kumar Hirani's 'Three Idiots', which is an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's bestselling novel 'Five Point Someone'.

"Principal photography on 3 Idiots is complete! We have one song left which Raju wants to shoot in September. Yesterday he began work on the post in full swing. Good God I'm getting butterflies in my stomach already. But this time I will not smoke. No matter how nervous I get," Khan wrote.
The actor who recently shared the stage with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during her visit to India, is quite amused with the comments that his choice of outfit attracted.
Khan had dressed casually in light blue jeans, a white T-shirt and a black jacket for the high profile meeting.
"I see there has been quite a discussion on what I wore to my event with Secretary Clinton. Actually I didn’t think much about it. I don't usually give much importance to what I am wearing, so I'll stay away from that discussion.
"But what I would like to say is that it was a real pleasure to meet with her. I found her to be an extremely warm and charming person. And she has such sharp and clear thinking, and expresses herself so well. Quite a privilege to meet with her," he added.
