102 cardiac surgeries in a month

Cardio vascular surgeon Dr Edwin Ravikumar said the patients came from all over the State and were all beneficiaries of government schemes like Yeshaswini, Survarna Arogya and Vajpayee Arogyashree. Patients who needed surgical intervention were selected from the various health camps conducted throughout the State along with participating private hospitals.

“We conducted four operations a day. A lot of people have benefited from the government schemes and this has helped reduce the cost of surgery for them drastically,” Dr Ravikumar mentioned.
