Speaking on the occasion, the judge said the purpose of this jatha was to take legal services to the doorsteps of people. Hence, citizens should take benefit of the same, he added.
The jatha would visit Jnanasagar campus, B Hosahalli and main roads of the city on Thursday. It would visit Induvalu, Sundahalli and other places on April 29. Deputy Commissioner Dr P C Jaffer and Sharada were present.
In another function organised at S B Education Trust’s campus, Sharada called upon the students to be aware of law to fight against corruption.
The younger generation has a great role in setting right the mess in society. Keeping this in mind, the jatha has been organised, she noted. S B Education Society’s Secretary Meera Shivalingaiah stressed on mediation instead of moving courts. She also lauded the activities of the legal services authority.
Bar Association President B T Nagaraj, Sitalakshmi of Ayush Department, Sumarani, Lokesh and Mahesh were present.
