Kanive anganwadi has guest teachers

A team of four foreign researchers teach English to students

A group of four foreign tourists, belonging to different nationality have been doing the teaching job for the last two days.

They have been teaching, playing and imparting knowledge on hygiene, cleanliness and personality development. They have been narrating fables and moral stories to the children too.

In return to this, students are enthusiastically learning from these ‘guest’ teachers. This team is in Kodagu as a part of their study on ‘Indian culture and children’.

The team will be in Kanive Anganwadi centre for a week. During their stay they will strive to learn about the culture, tradition, language, food habits, environment etc.

Ana from Germany, Mary from Belgium, Richardo from Italy and Julus from USA are the team of researchers who have been having good time with the children.

The team members have been relishing on the local rural food happily. They are enjoying the love and affection that the local residents are showering on them through their hospitality.

Anganwadi worker K A Padmavathi and helper Sumithra too have been overwhelmed by the fact that they have guests in their Anganwadi. Padmavathi said that the group has been teaching English through games and the children are responding positively to these new teachers.
