Newly weds have first night at palace

Prince William married Kate Middleton at Westminster Abbey. They will now be known Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The guests began to leave the party for 300 family and friends from 11 pm onwards with the last departing at 3 am.

The newly weds spent their first night as a couple in one of the suites at the palace, the Daily Mail reported.  Prince William’s younger brother Prince Harry got into a minibus with around a dozen people. At the party, Prince Charles quipped about his son going bald. Not one to shy away from humour, William joked about his father’s waistline.

It was then Prince Harry who cracked a joke on his grandfather the Duke of Edinburgh. He said the Duke would be dwarfed by Kate who stood tall in three-inch heels.
