Govt offices shifted to new premises in Madikeri

The building has been built at a cost of Rs 1.30 crore. Likewise, ZP Assistant Planning Officer’s office was inaugurated by Chief Planning Officer B L Siddaiah. District Rural Development Agency office was inaugurated by the Planning Officer D Chandrashekaraiah.

Sampurna Swachatha Andolan office was opened by Assistant Planning officer Shabeer Pasha and Evaluation Project Officer Prabhuswamy. Though the building was inaugurated by Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, some days ago, no departments were shifted here. The building was built under SGSY funds by Land Army.

As of now, the District Rural Development Agency, Backward CLass and Minority Welfare department, Social Welfare office of Zilla Panchayat, Silk Department and ITDP office have been shifted to this new building.

The first floor of the building has a hall of 400 seating capacity. The building has been built keeping in mind all the necessities of the people visiting the office to get their work done on daily basis.
