The complex which will come up in one acre land will have three floors. A sum of Rs 3.5 crore to Rs 5 crore will be utilised. A sum of Rs 1.5 crore has already been utilised so far. The released funds are with Land Army Corporation and the work will be started at the earliest, he said.

He directed the officials concerned to construct two MLAs office in the same building. Parking facility should be provided in the ground floor of the building. If the government offices are situated in one place, then public will be benefited, he said.

Bopaiah expressed displeasure over the health department for constructing a building next to the land identified for the district complex in spite of the department having an office. When asked on the purpose of the building, the officials said that it will function as Karnataka health campaign training centre.

He said the government funds should not get wasted. The construction of all the unnecessary buildings should be stopped.

He sought details on the need for immediate buildings for departments.
