Officers seek basic infrastructure facilities

The meeting was organised in the backdrop of District In-charge Minister Shobha Karandlaje calling for a high-level meeting.

Health and Family Welfare Department officers submitted proposals for construction of upto 23 health centres. The Animal Husbandry Department officer requested that centres be opened in Chikkaballapur and Shidlaghatta to rear Giriraja breed of poultry.

Release of Rs 12.6 lakh was requested by the Horticulture Department officer for development of a nursery as well as Rs one crore for the overall development of Muddenahalli.

Other department officers too put across memoranda for grants upto Rs 80 lakh to construct quarters for people belonging to backward and minority classes, Rs 2.5 crore for development of APMC markets and DIET centres in Chikkaballapur and Bagepalli, a Stree Shakti Bhavan in Bagepalli, etc.

District Superintendent of Police Dr T D Pawar, Deputy Commissioner Dr N Manjula and Zilla Panchayat chief executive officer B S Shekharappa were present at the meeting.
