Vinay Pathak piles on the kilos for 'Bheja Fry 2'

Producer Mukul Deora feels that Bheja Fry 2 wouldn't have the spunk to it if it wasn't for protagonist Vinay Pathak's look and charades. Hence one condition that the producer laid across to Ballary was that Vinay, who had lost all the weight post 'Bheja Fry', had to put on the same amount of weight.

At first Vinay was against the idea since it took him two years to shed the kilos but after much convincing he agreed and went on a strict all-carbs diet for 6 weeks to regain the weight he lost.

Sources said, "Vinay put in a lot of effort to lose the weight he sported in the first 'Bheja Fry'. However Mukul was convinced that his rolly-polly look in the film is what made his character Bhushan so lovable and went all out to convince him. The actor finally gave in and let go of his fitness regime and ate to his hearts content for 6 weeks.

In 'Bheja Fry 2' which releases on June 17, the good hearted but not worldly-wise, tax inspector, Bharat Bhushan (Vinay Pathak) is back to fulfill his long cherished dream of becoming a singer.

To further his ambition he enters a game show hoping to win a cash prize with which he can make his own music album. Eventually Bhushan goes on to win the competition which also gifts him a free stay on a cruise ship
