Sheer impact of curtains, draperies

Bullions, fringes, chenille tassels, cording, beading and other embellishments enhance the impact that draperies make.

Curtains and draperies are available in a variety of materials including cotton and silk in bright colours and prints. Silk is another option (decorative silk like Taffeta or designer duponi)

Even vinyl fabric with attractive prints, leather or oil cloth fabrics can go a long way in enhancing the beauty of your rooms.

The use of eco-friendly draperies has also caught on in a big way. These are available in many styles and patterns. The use of light filtering organic sheers along with draperies for the windows is another option to beautify the windows, and in turn the rooms.

Eco-friendly materials for draperies include 100 per cent organic cotton which is a bio-degradable material that is warm, comfortable and durable. Bamboo fabric, a natural fibre, is also one of the options.

Another material that is popular is lycodell, which is fire-retardant. The interiors can further be highlighted with special designs, colours and embellishments which add character to a room. You can use bright cushions with mirror work or embroidery with matching curtains to enhance the beauty of the room.
