Bharti Airtel's new symbol called 'Wave'

The name was selected following a six-month-long online contest wherein the customers were invited to name the symbol.

“The name refers to the sweeping changes that Airtel strives to bring towards enriching the lives of its 200 million-plus customers in 19 countries across Asia and Africa,” the company
said.

“It is also symbolic of ‘wave’ of progress and prosperity that Airtel continues to bring in the lives of its customers every day, through its exciting products and services,” it added.
