Consistency paid off for her

Charitha Venkatesh

Charitha, who used to study for three hours a day initially, gradually increased it to six hours as exams neared. This student of Vijaya Vithala High School utilised for self study the time that other students devoted for tuitions. Scoring 619 marks out of 625, she stands second in the district.

Her tally of 125 in Kannada and 100 each in Science and Maths was possible as she stuck to the dictum that one should be consistent in studies from day one of the academic year.
Interestingly, both her parents are chemistry professors - Her father Dr B M Venkatesh at Yuvaraja’s College in the city and her mother R T Radhika at the government college in K R Nagar.

Charitha does not lag behind in extra curricular activities either. Having passed the junior exam in Carnatic music, her other hobbies include dance, drama and swimming.

A rank was unexpected for Charitha, but she was sure of a good result. She now wants to focus her energy on  getting selected for IIT, post-PUC.
