Braving the scorching sun, the crowds surged and almost bombarded the huge iron gates of Jayalalitha’s residence.
But noon, the shift of power was clear as the first set of senior-most IPS and IAS officers came with a variety of colourful bouquets to congratulate ‘Amma’ on her big victory.
As the crowds got bigger outside her residence, Jayalalitha made an appearance on her first floor balcony and waved to the crowds, showing the AIADMK’s ‘Two leaves’ symbol.
