JOIN USAccording to an official press release, the textbooks will be dispatched directly to schools through the office of the jurisdictional block educational officer (BEO).
For students studying in private schools, the Department of Public Instruction will make arrangements for sale of textbooks by opening special counters during working hours at the office of the jurisdictional BEO.
Representatives of private schools can collect textbooks after furnishing the purchase order submitted from their respective schools. Payments should be made through demand drafts drawn in favour of the ‘Managing Director, Karnataka Textbook Society, Bangalore.’
Textbooks cannot be purchased directly by students or individuals, the release adds. The availability of the books will be displayed on the notice board of the BEO office.
