Music from Air Warriors

The Air Warriors Symphony Orchestra, which played to a packed house in Cubbon Park, enthralled both young and old.

The orchestra played a medley of songs ranging from Mozart's Symphony No 40 to Rehman’s ‘Dil Hain Chota Sa’.

Avid listeners whooped and whistled as the band moved from old favourites to new hits. The song list also featured the Venga Boys, ABBA and also included songs from veteran composers R D Burman and Shankar Ganesh.

Visitors to Cubbon Park came prepared for the rains and many sported umbrellas and raincoats. Several others braved the showers; all for their love of music. Salil, a entrepreneur, said: “They seem quite talented. I’m really enjoying the music and the weather.”

Shibu, a teacher, said: “I particularly liked the instrumental versions of Hindi songs.”

The orchestra which has performed in France and Italy put up an entertaining show for the crowds.
