Pak lawmaker quizzes ISI over US raid that killed bin Laden

Parliamentarian Atta-ur-Rehman, the younger brother of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam chief Fazlur Rehman, asked Inter-Services Intelligence chief Lt Gen Ahmed Shuja Pasha who had created the Taliban and financially supported them during the joint session on Friday, sources were quoted as saying in the media reports yesterday.

Rehman also questioned the military's decision to conduct operations against 'mujahideen' like bin Laden and the appearance of top military officials in parliament because their "big boss", the US, was angry with them.

Pasha then requested the lawmaker not to get involved in discussions about the history of the mujahideen.

He implied that parties like the JUI were receiving funding from Libya and Saudi Arabia, the reports said.

"If we will discuss it, then things will go very far and everyone will come to know who has been receiving dollars from Saudi Arabia and Libya," the ISI chief was quoted as saying.
Lawmakers thumped their desks on hearing Pasha's remarks, sources said.

Rehman then staged a token walkout from the House though he returned after 10 minutes, the sources said.
