LPG tankers hold up traffic on national highway

The filled LPG tankers from Mangalore move closely up to Hassan via the Shiradi Ghat. This not only prevents vehicles coming behind these tankers from overtaking but also slow down the movement of other vehicles.

At least five to six tankers move in a row causing problems from other vehicles. As per rules, there should be at least 100 mtrs distance between two tankers, but it is flouted by every tanker driver. This is also causing accidents on this highway.

The traffic and RTO authorities have to take necessary steps in this regard, opine citizens.
