Sadiya excelled against all odds

What makes her achievement significant is that she excelled against all odds. Her father Mohammed Arshadulla is a small-time fruit vendor who sells seasonal fruits visiting every villages.

His income is not sufficient to run the family but Sadiya with her grit and determination has made her parents and school proud. “Sadiya has proved that students in Kannada medium can also shine like their counterparts in English medium,” said her friend.

Sadiya now dreams of taking up Science to do medicine in future. She wants to be a doctor to serve in rural areas.

“But we cannot afford to send her to study Science. It’s now left to her destiny,” said her mother Noor Asma.
